Allowances & Other Benefits
H.R.A
With effect from 01.01.92. the House Rent Allowance is payable to the Officers at the following rates:-
 
14% of Revised Basic Pay upto Revised Basic Pay of Rs 2500/-, subject to a minimum of RS 200/- per month.
Officers drawing revised Basic Pay above RS 2500/- will be eligible to H.R.A @ 12 % of Revised Basic Pay with a minimum of Rs 350/- and maximum of Rs 600/- provided however in case the revised H.R.A. as aforesaid is lower than the existing H.R.A. then the H.R.A of the individual Officer as on 31.12.91 is protected till the H.R.A on revised basic is equal to or higher than the earlier H.R.A No H.R.A would be admissible to the Officer's who would be provided with Accommodation.
 
Flat Maintenance Allowance
 
In case of transferred designated Officers who have been provided with the Company's accommodation including furniture are paid flat maintenance expenses as per orders issued by the Management from time to time.
 
Andaman and Imphal Allowance
 
For Andaman
The Officers posted to the Offices of the Company at Andaman are allowed a special Allowance @ 25% of Basic Pay subject to a minimum of Rs 225/- and a maximum of Rs 350/- per month.
For Imphal
Officers transferred to the Offices of the Company at Imphal are allowed a Special Allowance @ 15 % of Basic Pay subject to a minimum of Rs 200/- and a maximum of Rs 350/- per month. However, in case of local Officers posted in Imphal, allowance in this head is allowed @ 10 % of Basic Pay subject to a minimum amount of Rs 125/- and a minimum of Rs 175/- per month.
 
Hill Station Allowance
  In case of Offices situated at1500 mts above sea level, an allowance equivalent to 10% of Basic Pay subject to a minimum of Rs 200/- and maximum of Rs 300/- is admissible to the Officers posted to such offices.
 
Tiffin Allowance
  W.E.F 01.01.92, the quantum of Tiffin Allowance is Rs 225/- for the Officers in the Grade of AAO 'A', AAO 'B', AAO 'C' and Rs 275/- for other Officers (i.e. AOIIB-AOIA)
In the case of an Officer not attending Office for any reason whatsoever for more than 10(Ten) days in a month, such allowance would be paid proportionately.
 
Transport Allowance
  All officers are allowed Transport Allowances at the rate specified below
 
(a) Officers from Grade AO-IIB to AO-IA Rs 325/-p.m
(b) Officers in Grade AQAO 'A' Rs 250/-p.m.
(c) Officers in Grade AAO 'C' and AAO 'B' Rs 225/- p.m.
In the case of an Officer not attending Office for any reason whatsoever for more than Fourteen days in a month, such allowance would be proportionately.
 
Medical Reimbursement
 

The Officers are entitled for reimbursement of expenditure incurred in connection with the medical treatment of self and members of his/her family including dependent parents on submission of relevant receipts, cash memos etc at the annual rates as per Annexure.

The entitlement as in the Annexure referred to above, is in respect of Calendar Year. The unavailed portion if any, of any one calendar year cannot over to the following calendar year.

Charge Allowance and Entertainment Allowance
 
Leave Travel Facility
 

The Officers on being confirmed in the service will become eligible for Leave Travel Facilities once in a block of two years for self , spouse or dependent mother father and 2(two children). The Block period has started from 01.01.92.This benefit if not claimed and enjoyed during the fixed block period of 2 years, the same cannot be carried over or claimed afterwards.

The L. T. F's to the Officers of different categories will be allowed as per description given below:-

For availing of the Leave Travel Facilities, the Officers will be required to take a minimum of 4(four) days Privilege Leave.

In case Officers prefer to travel by AIR to and from Agartala, the same will be admissible provided the journey in other mode and distance covered if any are not claimed for the purposed of such AIR travel facility. The existing system of traveling one way by AIR for Andaman will continue. Where there is no railway link, an employee stated above, may make the journey by bus or taxi subject to the condition that reimbursement would be either Actual or entitled Class of Railway fare whichever is less for the journey undertaken.

 
  The Following Conditions to Apply
 
Break Journey as admissible under the Railway Rules will be admissible.
Split journey for once either on the onward or on the return journey may also be availed of.
Subject to one split journey, LTF claimed would be limited to the Railway fares of admissible class and admissible distance (or by Public Transport if Journey is undertaken by Road where is no Railway Line) from one place to another. The charges for reservation of Railway Tickets and Sleeper will be reimbursed by the Management.
 

Before proceeding on leave to avail himself of the Leave Travel facilities, the concerned Officer should apply at least 10(Ten) days in advance stating the intended place of visit and the number of family members accompanying him, to enable the management to grant an advance amount equal to 50% of his entitlement, if he so desires. On return from leave, the concerned Officer should submit his actual bills within 15 (Fifteen ) days quoting Railway Ticket No, date and place of purchase for necessary adjustments. If the travel is undertaken by any other mode other than Railway, then the supporting documents for such travel should be submitted along with the bills. If any concerned officer fails to submit the said bills in the manner indicated above within the prescribed period , the entire amount granted to him as advance will be recovered from his salary due for the next two months.

Officers posted in Andaman will be allowed assistance for visiting his along with his family one way by AIR and one way by Sea in the first Class cabin (A.C) Once in a block of 2(two years provided in the same year he has not availed himself for Leave Travel Facility.

 
Cash Handling Allowance
  Furniture & Fitting for Asst. Acct and Asst. Technical officer etc.
In addition to the existing practice the Transferred officer designated as Asst.Accountant, Asst.Technical Officer and officer of equivalent designation will be provided the following Furniture & Fixtures.
